Hey There Learn To Play Guitar Methods Fans,
Welcome! Here is just a wee bit about me:
I am a great fan of live musical performances, especially of guitar based blues, rock, and even some jazz. I have been blessed to have seen many of the top bands like Led Zepplin, U2, Genesis, Jefferson Airplane and Starship, Eric Clapton, Bob Seger, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Pink Floyd, BB King. Albert King, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Roy Buchanan, Rolling Stones, Santana, and the list goes on.
My favorite shows are the intimate smaller shows. I have been up close and have actually met many performers. Many times I have been allowed backstage and I even was invited to BB Kings private birthday party. I ate chicken wings with Chuck Levell (former keyboardist for Allman Brothers Band and now the keyboardist for the Rolling Stones) just before witnessing one of the most magical music shows of my life!
Jimmy Dillon put together an all-star band called the Werewolves which included Chuck Levell, keyboards, one of the world’s best sax players, harmonica player, blues singer, a fabulous horn section, Mark Moore on bass, and of course, Jimmy Dillon on guitar. It was the most rockin’ high energy, make your head spin gig I have ever seen! And I was front and center!
Anyway, I love great guitar.
